Dr Karen Bomford

Practice Owner (BVSc (Hons))

Karen has been managing the Doubleview Veterinary Centre since 2007 and became the Practice Owner in 2012.  She has been extremely dedicated to the Doubleview Veterinary Centre since she started working here and has developed a passion and devotion to the pets and clients of the practice.  

Karen graduated in 1997 from Melbourne University and has travelled and worked  across the globe in many places including Adelaide, Cairns, England, Wales and Zimbabwe to build up her expertise, knowledge, care and compassion. She has now settled in Perth with her two beautiful children Xavier and Kiara and their family pets - a Labrador “Arella” , a very mischievious Burmese “Kya" and their Domestic Medium Hair "Nina".  Karen has an avid interest in all small animal and exotic medicine and surgery, natives and wildlife.  Karen has many pastimes she enjoys, when time permits, including; travel, photography, the beach, hiking, good food, a nice drop of wine, football, netball, rugby union and scuba diving.

Karen is looking forward to continuing a long and prosperous relationship with her current and new pets and clients.  Doubleview Veterinary Centre has a wonderful, supportive team of qualified, experienced staff who show compassion, provide a gold standard of care and are always there to help.  We, as a team, are continually developing and expanding our repertoire and services on offer with further professional development.  We look forward to providing you with exceptional service to maintain your pet's quality of life at the highest standard.

Dr Veronica Peck

Veterinarian (BSc BVMS)

Dr Veronica graduated from Murdoch University in 2010. Veronica worked as a mixed practice veterinarian in Donnybrook for a year, before perusing her love of small animal practice and returning to Perth, starting the Doubleview Vet Centre in 2012. Veronica is passionate about her work and enjoys all facets of small animal practice. At home she loves spending time with her mischievous beagle Starsky and energetic staghound cross Willow going on long bush walks and to the beach. In 2018 Veronica embarked on a new adventure, with the impending arrival of her first non-fur baby and will be taking some time away from work because of this.


Dr Veronica is currently on maternity leave but looks forward to re-joining the Doubleview team in the future. 

Dr Kathryn Levitzke

Veterinarian (BSc BVMS)

Dr Kathryn Levitzke graduated from Murdoch University in 2011 and has been helping the people and pets of Doubleview since May 2017. She takes pride in providing the best treatment and service to all of the clients, and enjoys taking the time in consultation to get to know you and your pet. When not at work, Kathryn enjoys being outdoors, keeping fit, drinking good coffee and spending time with friends and family!  She has a few pets at home that keep her busy including her playful dog Mossy, cats Tootie and Marlow and three cheerful chickens!


Dr Maddie Bhagwat

Veterinarian (BSc BVMS)

Dr Maddie grew up in India and spent her summer holidays camping and exploring the South Indian tropical forests ripe with native animals. Having graduated from Murdoch University in 2010, she worked in Mandurah before volunteering with Vets Beyond Borders in 2013. Upon her return she has been living and working in Perth for the past 5 years. Her special interests include soft tissue surgery and feline medicine. Her hobbies are painting, practicing yoga and baking vegan desserts. At home, her cheeky cats Leo and Dutch most certainly rule the household! 

Dr Jenna Pugh

Veterinarian (BSc BVMS)

Dr Jenna Pugh is a 2014 Murdoch University graduate who has been working in small animal practice in Perth ever since. Her professional interests include small animal medicine (especially the ones that purr!), anaesthesia and pain management, geriatric medicine and dermatology.  She also finds helping nervous and anxious pets to feel more at ease in the clinic extremely rewarding. Jenna adores good food and wine, playing board games with friends & family and has recently started playing tennis (though she admits she is a far more talented spectator than player!). Her furry family includes four trouble-making cats - Sheldon, Missy, Tobias and Pickle.

Dr Natalie Rogerson

Veterinarian (BSc BVMS)

Natalie graduated from Murdoch University in 2013. After completing an internship at Perth Veterinary Specialists, she moved to New Zealand where she worked for five years in an Auckland small-animal practice. After plenty of sight-seeing and holidaying throughout New Zealand, she has returned home to Perth with two fluffy souvenirs in tow - a deaf cat called Alba and a Maltese cross called Koda.


Dr Tanya Tan

Veterinarian (BSc BVMS)

Dr Tanya graduated from Murdoch University in 1992. She has spent most her career working as a small animal veterinarian in Perth and has developed a keen interest in small animal surgery. Dr Tanya brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Doubleview team and is looking forward to getting to know the pets of Doubleview and surrounds. 

Dr Francesca Harold

Veterinarian (BSc BVMS)

Dr Francesca graduated from Murdoch University in 2012 with honours. A local herself, having grown up in Woodlands, Francesca has a keen interest in small animal medicine and surgery. Joining the team in late 2020 she is looking forward to meeting you and your furry companions soon. Outside of work she owns a suburban hobby farm (much to her husband's disgust) with 12 clucky hens, 3 noisy ducks, 1 toddler, 2 rescue dogs from the Pilbara and 2 rabbits intent on excavating the entire property. 

Dr Kate Buffin


Kate graduated from Murdoch University in 2012. As of early 2021, Kate is now a permanent staff member having worked on and off at Doubleview Vet Centre since 2019. She is very excited about getting to know all the lovely patients (and their humans) who visit the clinic! 

Kate has spent all her career working in small animal clinics throughout Perth. She has a strong interest in soft tissue surgery and is passionate about animal welfare which has seen her partake in several overseas and local vet volunteer programs including India, Thailand, Myanmar, Greece and Broome. 

When she is not working, you might find Kate chasing around after her little girl, shooting goals on the netball court, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, cheering on her football team, doing laps in the pool or cuddling her cat, Snowy.

Robyn Smith

Head Nurse (Cert IV Vet Nursing)

Robyn has been Vet Nursing for several years.  Robyn joined us at Doubleview Vet Centre in 2008 and has been our Practice Manager for most of this period.  Robyn loves the challenges her job brings and enjoys that every day is different. Robyn has one Kelpie x dog “Penny”.  Robyn also has a great interest in feathered and scaly exotic pets.  Robyn enjoys painting, scuba diving and spending time with her dog in her spare time.

Laura Gillespie

Veterinary Nurse (Cert IV Vet Nursing)

Laura has been working as a veterinary nurse for 14 years in general practice, originally qualifying in the UK.  Laura joined Doubleview Vet Centre in 2013 and rejoined us in 2016 after a short time away.  

Laura is a fanatical feline lover… and has always had cats as pets. Laura has a specific interest in nursing hospital patients back to health and interacting within the kitten and puppy consultations helping owners start their pets achieve a healthy life.  Laura also has a passion for health and fitness and regularly trains in the gym.


Natalie Allen

Veterinary Nurse (Cert IV in Vet Nursing)

Natalie first came to us as a prac student whilst studying Veterinary Nursing in 2015. It wasn’t long before we got her on board our team as a Trainee Nurse as she completed her qualification by the end of the same year. Natalie has worked in various industries, including hospitality, public relations & marketing, film & television, and event management.  Natalie has found her new career in working with animals a most welcome, rewarding change and loves being a part of the DVC family. She has two adopted Chihuahuas, Mary and Chop Chop, but her love of animals extends across a wide range of breeds and species. Her other interests include music, fashion, travel and dinosaurs.

Laura Fenney

Veterinary Nurse (Cert IV Vet Nursing)

Laura joined the Doubleview Vet Centre at the start of 2017 after completing her vet nursing qualification in 2016 and attending Doubleview for her practical training. Originally from the UK, Laura studied Zoology at university before spending a few years in Canada working in the snow sports tourism industry. After then moving to Perth, Laura decided to re-train to build on her passion for animal welfare. Laura’s other passions include conservation, travelling, snowboarding and skiing. Laura is owned by Tommy, a very big ginger boy who demanded a home whilst Laura was also nursing at the Cat Haven.

Natalie Mason

Registered Veterinary Nurse (certificate IV veterinary nursing)

Nat graduated with a Cert IV in Vet Nursing in 2006 and has been nursing in small animal practices since. Nat joined Doubleview Vets in late 2017.

She shares her home with many cats and runs a Perth based cat rescue making feline care her special interest.  

Nat is passionate about animal welfare and enjoys educating pet owners on how they can best care for their furry companions. 

Peta McLoughlin


Peta has been in the veterinary industry for 10 years has worked in general practice, specialist clinics and a 24 hour emergency hospital. Peta has always had cats as pets, but also enjoys pet sitting dogs and puppy kisses.  She shares her home with her 2 long haired cats Alex and Penny who were adopted from a previous workplace.  Peta is passionate about animals and enjoys advising owners on how to best care for their pets. On her time off she is usually socialising, shopping, spending time with friends, or on the couch watching Netflix with her cats (if they are in the mood to snuggle).

Kate Newton

(Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing)

Kate worked as a qualified Veterinary Nurse at Doubleview Vet Centre and worked in Veterinary Pathology from 2007-2012.  In 2012 Kate commenced study with the National Dog Trainers Federation, doing a Certificate III in Dog Behaviour and Training.  Kate is a fully qualified, nationally recognised dog trainer. Kate is our Puppy Pre-School Teacher as well as doing in home consultations and obedience classes for her own business, For Paws – Dog Training and Behavioural Solutions.

Kate has a ginger DMH cat called ‘Pedro’ and two dogs - a Kelpie Cross called 'Evie' and 'Ziggy' the Border Collie.  She enjoys training all types of dogs, volunteering at dog shelters, traveling when she can and spending time at the beach.
